Let’s play freely!

At Báhoo Studio we believe that your artistic growth has a foundation in practice and freedom to play. As an artist-run ceramics studio in Vancouver, we are happy to offer weekly open studio sessions for students to have extra time to dig deep into the world of ceramics, to apply skills learned in class, and to try that risky form with no consequences!

Sunday Sessions are available to students currently and previously enrolled in a ceramics class at our Vancouver studio. Please note that materials are not included in the drop in fees. Our studio will provide you with the tools, equipment, and facilities for your open studio session. This time is for you to explore and exercise your techniques. There is no instruction during this time, so save your questions for your weekly class!

If you have missed a class we are happy to offer one complimentary Session as a make-up.  Please reach out through email to receive a booking code that you can use at check out.

Check out the schedule below for the next available time - just make sure to read our Studio Policies before you sign up. See you in the studio!

Put it into practice

  • The studio is available for two 3-hour practice sessions every Sunday. One is from 10AM-1PM, the other from 1PM-4PM. Perfect timing for a Sunday brunch, then head to the studio!

  • All tools and facilities are provided, with the same set up as your weekly class.

  • Clay is available for purchase at our studio through our studio attendant. Please note that studio reclaim is just as good as new clay! All students will take part in the clay reclaiming process with our Studio Attendant in the last 15 minutes of your session. Please see below for more information on the importance of reclaiming clay.

  • Environmental Responsibility: By reclaiming clay, we significantly reduce waste and minimize our impact on the environment. We're proud to be part of a sustainable solution that encourages responsible art practices.

Educational Value: Reclaiming clay offers a unique educational experience. Students can witness the transformation of raw clay into a reusable material, gaining a deeper understanding of its properties and the importance of resource conservation. It's a hands-on opportunity to learn about the full life cycle of clay and its impact on our planet.

Cost Savings: As a student at Bàhoo, you benefit from reduced costs thanks to our clay reclamation process. By utilizing reclaimed clay, we're able to provide a more affordable experience without compromising on quality.
